My name is Steve Stone, and I’m a bit of a wine nut…. I lived in the USA for a year or so in 2005/2006 and during my time there I really got into Californian wines in particular.
At one wine tasting in a big Miami wine store I saw that they used these incredible wine racks throughout their store. I talked to the owner and he put me in touch with the manufacturers in Colorado – Wine Master Cellars. I bought a bunch of the racks for myself, and a couple of friends, when we returned to NZ in 2006 (you can see a picture of my wine cellar below).
When we bought our house in Orakei, Auckland, we had a ready made semi-underground storeroom – which immediately became my wine cellar! Then I found I didn’t have enough racks to fill the room (and nowhere near enough wine!) so I called the boss at Wine Master Cellars and he suggested I might like to become their distributor…...
So, here we are! As you can see we have almost filled our own wine cellar with these racks – and it really looks great (of course, I am constantly struggling to keep it stocked!) These racks really do display your wines to their best affect, but they also suit all kinds of different spaces and use less space, provide good airflow, and make it easy to find the bottle you want. Suitable for a variety of applications: We have them in restaurants, but mainly in residential homes where they are both cellars or just a single rack in the kitchen or dining room. They are a great space-filler on an empty wall and give you an ever-changing piece of art for an empty space in your kitchen, dining or living room – I guess you could even put them in your bedroom if you were that way inclined!!
